The search for photographs has resulted in the images on show, which go from the 1960s to the current day
The history and evolution of the celebration of carnival in Mojácar is the theme of the exhibition running until the 29th Febuary at the municipality’s La Fuente Art Centre.
Many local people have contributed photographs, costumes, and even the mannequins on which are shown the hand-made costumes for which the creators know how to make the most of basic materials.
Organized by the Town Hall’s Culture Department, also on show are a number of costumes made by the municipality’s different carnival groups from any materials to hand.
The search for photographic material is the images on show, which go from the 1960s to the current day. Also being exhibited are the carnival posters from 2003, the year in which the series started, up to 2012, all of them the result of the imagination and the brushes or cameras of Mojácar artists.
