Pulpí Mayor Juan Pedro García and Tourism councillor Juan Bautista López collected the “Q for Tourism Quality” certificates, awarded annually by the Spanish Institute for Tourism Quality (ICTE), at an official ceremony staged during the International Tourism Fair 2012 in Madrid.

ICTE President Miguel Mirones welcomed the more than 600 representatives from municipalities and companies which have been awarded the “Q for Quality Tourism” classification, and presented the certificate to those establishments and services which in 2011 gained the recognition for the first time or which are renewing their “Q for Quality Tourism” stamp.

The ceremony was closed by the new Secretary of State for Tourism, Isabel Borrego, who congratulated all the companies and entities which have achieved the award.

“It is to feel very proud as a Pulpileño to secure three “Q for Tourism Quality” flags, which will be on the three most emblematic beaches of San Juan de los Terreros”, the Pulpí Mayor commented.

“We will work towards more beaches in the municipality having this distinction, and are encouraged to continue with this line of quality in tourism services which are the most important value for selling out excellence in these marvellous beaches we have in San Juan de los Terreros.”
